Hello everyone!

Hope you all enjoyed a great holiday weekend!

After taking our traditional mid-series break, we are back with four more weeks of Short Track fun. Here are some updates ahead of tomorrow's Short Track race # 5, which is shaping up to be another one that you don't want to miss out on!

1) This Monday, we're going casual, Brazil style!
That's right, it's time for our annual "Summer Casual" Race Outfit Contest, brought to you by Portland Design Works!
Leave the spandex at home and come race in your best Summer Casual race outfit. The most hilarious outfits (male & female) in each race heat (*) will win a very cool PDW "goodie package", consisting of an AetherDemon USB-rechargeable LED tail light and a Shiny Object CO2 inflator. So get the creative juices flowing.... anything goes, as long as it doesn't weird out the kiddie racers!
To make the summer party complete, local samba drum band Bloco Alegria will come out to entertain the start of each race heat with live music, Nossa Familia Coffee will be serving free iced and pour-over coffees, and our food station will be serving our ever-popular free Dave's Killer Bread PB&J sandwiches.

(*) Judging will be done based on the photos taken at the PDW Photo Booth (look for the Portland Design Works tent, which will be located under the trees).

2) Late to the party? Save big to race the rest of the series!
If you just now discovered how much fun Short Track is (or just late to the game and decided to jump in on the action), we have two great discount offers for the second half of the series! This Monday, we will sell "rest-of-series passes" for just $65 ($30 for juniors, $15 for second race) or if you like to save money by pooling with team mates and friends, you can purchase a "10-race punch card" for $180 or just $18 per race!

3) Short Track T-shirts have arrived. Come get yours while they last!
We are stoked to have a new batch of short track t-shirts, featuring a very classy and updated design. We couldn't make up our minds on the colors (they all looked great!) so we decided to get them all and - new this year - we have women and junior specific styles and sizes!
Check them all out at http://www.portlandracing.com/short-track-stuff.html
Note: We ordered limited quantities for each style/color/size, so don't wait around too long to get your hands on your new favorite tee!
T-shirts can be purchased at the info desk, next to registration. And while you're at it, you might as well buy a couple of our new Short Track pint glasses. Unisex & Women tees are $15, Youth tees are $10, and pint glasses are $5 (beer not included).

4) Photos & results of race # 4, series & team standings, and call-up list for race # 5.
Check out the following links to get all up-to-date on who is rocking it this year in the results and whose action shot deserves a double spread in a national MTB magazine:

Every time you come race short track, you get a chance to win some cool prizes, courtesy of our generous sponsors. So if you raced last Monday, go to http://www.portlandracing.com/weekly-raffle.html to find out if you are among this week's lucky winners!

Cheers,
