Also folks, keep in mind that the road only recently reopened after being closed by landslides in November for a long stretch after last summer's fires. I believe Scott as well as ODOT are doing all they can to move forward, but the road's not entirely cleared for our little party.

That is not suprising.  It's hard to get permits out there once the camping season has started up.  In the past this was a late winter race.
