Mt. Hood Cycling Classic

Good Morning NW Racers!

We are putting the final touches on this weekends Gorge Short Track Shoot Out! Format is two short track races in one day for double the fun!!! Racing takes place at the Easy Climb Trail System in Cascade Locks, Oregon. A tremendous amount of work has been done this past year prepping this for the ultimate short track racing experience. The morning race will feature a super fast course with over 50% of it run on double track to maximize passing opportunities. The afternoon race will be a technical course with over 50% single track offered. The afternoon start will have call ups based on the morning’s finishing places. We have carefully selected the fastest best flowing single track in the trail system to utilize for racing. Trail conditions are supreme and drainage on the trail network is outstanding so even with moisture this week there will be no mud bogs or slow sections.

We will be setup with music, and master chef and ripping mt. biker Mark Deresta will have his grill one site with some yummy food options. Last but not least Thunder Island Brewing will be on hand with beer! Get your first beer for only $2! Bring you lights and stick around after the race is done for a bonfire and night right hosted by the Dimwits. That trail system is super rad at night!!!
