This camp is for those who have mountain biked at least once or twice, like it, and want to get better. We'll ride some of Portland's iconic trails which could include: Sandy Ridge, Hagg Lake, Hood River, and Stubb-Stewart. The purpose won't be to exhaust you or leave you in the dust, but rather to improve your skills, strength, balance, spatial awareness, and confidence, making you an all-around better rider. Being well-staffed will allow us to accommodate different riding speeds and levels of experience. If you have your own mountain bike, great. Make sure it is tuned up and in good working order. Fat Tire Farm bike shop will offer special program discounts for participants on tunes (15% off) and rentals ($35/day) for the week. In addition to riding, we'll gasp and scream at Tree to Tree Adventure Park, learn some bike repair at the Community Cycling Center or the United Bicycle Institute, try our legs at The Lumberyard Bike Park, swim in Hagg Lake, and have a total blast!
