Hello OBRA land,

In a bulletin I received today from my daughter’s high school I read about
a cool new program, the Green Team Bike Shop, they are introducing next
year. Like many school programs they lack funding and rely on donations to
succeed.

“Green Team Bike Shop

The Life Skills program at Wilson High School is starting a new enterprise
for students who want to build their mechanical skills: The Green Team Bike
Shop. This will be a student-run enterprise that builds and repairs
bicycles, incorporates financial and business education, and provides
hands-on experience. In order to make this project work, we need donations
of tools. Any bike and mechanics tools will be appreciated. This includes
most automotive tools such as wrenches, power tools such as hand-held
drills, as well as bike specific tools. We would also love to have some
bike shop fixtures such as a bike repair stand, wheel truing stand, and a
vise. Please help us spread the word to those who may have tools to donate.

You may donate to the high school any time 8am to 3pm Tuesday through
Thursday, or contact the instructor if you have items to be picked up.
