Hey everyone,

Before we're heading into the weekend, I like to share a couple updates ahead of Monday's Portland Short Track race # 3:

1) This Monday is "School's Out!" Junior & Newbie Short Track Night!

The school year has officially wrapped up and summer is here. Perfect timing for our annual Junior & Newbie Short Track Night! All new short track racers (who've never raced a Portland Short Track Series race before) will enjoy $10 off the regular day-of-race fee and OBRA will waive the $5 single-day OBRA license fee for any non-OBRA members! In other words, newbie junior racers can come race Short Track this Monday for just $5 and newbie adult racers pay only $15! To top if off, we'll raffle off a bunch of cool prizes among all junior racers who come out and race, including three Summer Day Passes for a day of fun at The Lumberyard!... so spread the word and bring along your friends!

2) Results, series standings, and call-up list for race # 3.

- Call-Up List for Monday's Race # 3: http://www.portlandracing.com/call-up-list-2014-06-16.html
Note: starting on Monday, we will do priority call-ups for the top-5 in the series standings in each category.

3) Another night of Short Track, another round of weekly raffle winners!

Every time you come race short track, you get a chance to win some cool prizes, courtesy of our generous sponsors. To find out if you are one of the lucky winners in our weekly raffle, check here:

And don't forget that every Monday night, for the duration of the series, all short track racers get to enjoy a $2 "first beer" special at the Hopworks Bike Bar on N Williams!

That's it. Have a great weekend and looking forward to seeing you on Monday at PIR!

Cheers,
~Kris

PS 1: a reminder that the Six Hours of Mt Hood is only 3 weeks away! Everything is falling together real well for this popular race: the course is in great shape and already 100% snow-free, registrations are coming in strong, and I just got news that Mt Hood Skibowl will offer racers and their families a 2-for-1 special on their Half-Day Adventure Pass. You still have a week to take advantage of our advance registration rates. First 250 riders who pre-register receive a free commemorative pint glass, so don't wait around and register today!
