Just a quick reminder that on-line registration for Gran Fondo Kootenai ends at 10:00 p.m. MDT on Wednesday, July 2. Extreme procrastinators may register on Saturday morning at the event start, but it'll cost a good bit more. Here's a Top Ten list of why you should join us:
1. The weekend weather looks to be superb: sunny and warm, with little chance of rain; leave your knickers and arm warmers at home
2. Beautiful Lake Koocanusa will be at full-pool, and Kootenai Falls will be running wild (come see how you can be within just two degrees of Kevin Bacon...)
3. Miles of fresh, new pavement on Sunday's final descent will make your cruise backinto Libby silky smooth (like buttah!)
4. Montana's (arguably) toughest climb will allow you to significantly challenge yourself or take your time to smell the roses (and all the other wildflowers)
5. You'll be benefiting several very worthy local charities
6. The 4th of July celebration and fireworks in neighboring Troy, Montana, are not to be missed
7. Friendly, personalized support; fantastic scenery; fine dining; great camaraderie
