OUCH@Larch Mtn final starting list and instructions...

Racing

2014-07-27

Thank you everyone, it looks to be a scorcher. Please wear some sun screen and plan to have a great time.

As noted: here is the final starting list: http://consystency.net/obra/ouch/Data/Final_OUCH_Start_List.htm

* If you have a yellow box where your racing number should be - please come to information (you do not need to wait in the registration line) and get your paper number that will already be assigned to you.
* Any bags to the top, we ask that you place them next to the information table prior to the start of the race (unless a volunteer will take them later)
* There are three corners that cause people the most trouble.
Mile 0.6 Stay LEFT on the main road - Historic Columbia River Hwy - and do NOT go up Grange road
Mile 2.1 Veer RIGHT up (this is a hill climb) onto East Larch Mtn Road. Do NOT go down towards crown point
Mile 6 Stay LEFT on East Larch Mtn Road. Do NOT go straight onto Louden Road.
There should be 3 orange cones before these three areas, and 3 orange cones after confirming your route.
Numbers on the left.

YOU MUST HAVE A NUMBER IN ORDER TO START - or you may not get scored.

Please be nice to our officials and respectful of the community that supports OBRA and gives the okay so we can get our permits.

Details and information are on our webpage: http://consystency.net/obra/ouch

See you in the morning and thanks for racing!!!!
Ernie

>> Well there is really no reason for the entire OBRA community to not be racing somewhere at something this week as there are multiple OBRA races on Saturday and Sunday. A couple of running events are out there and I'm sure a swim meet or two as well so everyone should be out and about :)
>>
>> Meanwhile - the first starting list has been posted. Last year we had a big signup at the end of the week so keep in mind the start list will change. Make your plans sign up for two days of racing and get ready for the championships.
>>
>> Notes of Interest :
>> The Monday start list is at; http://consystency.net/obra/ouch/Data/OUCH_2014_StartList_v1_mon.htm
>> For those who pre-rode the course this weekend, you already know, for the rest, from MP 3 to MP4 on East Larch Mt road was chip sealed late last week and the second coat today. The county plans to sweep the entire course later this week to help us out.
>> Day of registration is available, but begins after the final pre-registered rider. We might consider a reservation option as well.
>> The fabled finisher's Medal and coveted OUCH@Larch Mtn water bottles will be awaiting you at the top.
>> A car will go up with bags when the clock starts. Bring your labeled bags to the information (not registration) table to be taken up.
>> Got questions or special accommodations? Let us know.
>> As many are aware the Corbett fire station was burglarized early this month. OUCH has made a donation to the local school scholarship each year but is looking to see how we can help. Supporting the community we live in. OBRA has shown that time and again. Donations will be passed along, suggestions are always welcomed.

Plus you'll get your coveting OUCH water bottle and finishers medal. As we have for 13 years now, a portion of the proceeds support the Corbett community through the Corbett Education Fund's Scholarship program.

Who is the fastest person of all the champions? Find out by registering on the easy OBRA sign up system - oh and the promoter pays your service fee here too. WOW! This year, earn your OBRA championship medal and also your 2014 finisher water bottle. Also, because we care, a portion of the proceeds will go to helping the Barlow school district Cross County (slow down that's CC not CCX), and Track and Field programs.
