Double Cross is coming!

We're less than four weeks away from the 2014 Double Cross weekend in Hood
River, OR! We've got lots of exciting things planned. Our flyer is up on
the OBRA page and linked from the GPRT page, but here's some high points:

*Series:*
Saturday's race is part of the GPRT. Sunday's race is part of the Oregon
JCS and High School series. You can register for both at AthletePath.com.
(look carefully at what day you're registering for - though we'd love to
have you both days!)

*Crusade Call-ups:*

Both races count in the Early Season Series to earn call-ups at the first
Cross Crusade. Top ten riders from each category (except beginner) will
receive points. Top five riders from Double Cross 1 & 2, Zaaldercross, and
the Battle at Barlow will receive call-ups

*Food:*
We’re excited to have Raven’s Nest Public House serving food all day. They
will have a breakfast and lunch menu, as well as drinks (soft) and sides.

*T-shirts:*
We will have a very limited number of black DoubleCross shirts on sale for
$15.

*Facebook:*
Here's the link to our Facebook page. I'll post updates there.

*Volunteer:*
If you'd like to race for free, please sign up to volunteer (or have a
spouse/partner/parent special friend/etc sign-up for you). Here's how:
1. *Click this link* to go to our invitation page on VolunteerSpot:
http://vols.pt/vjzdPz
2. *Enter your email address:* (You will NOT need to register an account on
VolunteerSpot)
3. *Sign up!* Choose your spots - VolunteerSpot will send you an automated
confirmation and reminders. Easy! (just like registration, make sure you
are registering for the correct day).

*Camping:*
The closest camping is Tucker Park, which almost exactly two miles from the
school.

*Special Notes:*
Please no alcohol at the school (or at Alpenrose or David Douglas Park,
etc.) and please stay off the athletic fields.

As always, there are tons of things for racers and families to do in Hood
River on a beautiful fall weekend. There are a bunch of great restaurants
and farm stands to choose from, and more microbreweries, wine tasting
rooms, and cider houses than you can count.

We hope to see you in the Hood!
