I'm selling several small mountain bike and cyclo-cross parts. I'm in Northeast Portland, but am happy to ship (buyer pays shipping) to other areas, as needed. If you're interested in anything listed, please feel free to contact me off list.

Three used pairs of black, Hope external cam quick release skewers. 2 pairs are for 100/130 mm hubs; the remaining is for 100/135 mm hubs. All in good condition. Purchased new in 2012. I had one failure in the summer of 2013 that was most likely my own fault, not the quick releases. They all come with skewer springs. Paul Components recently began manufacturing quick releases and Id like to try them; otherwise, Id continue to use them and recommend them to a friend. $20 per pair.

One used pair of black, Salsa Flip-off 100/135 mm external cam quick release skewers with stainless steel axles. Fair to good condition due to cosmetic wear on the rear (worse) and front (better). Purchased new sometime in the last seven years. Ive never had any failures with them. Made in USA. Ive had them laying around for two years, and its time to find a new home for them. I would use them again and recommend them to a friend. Skewer springs included. $10.

Two used Shimano M770 XT level 9-speed 11-34 cassettes, both in good condition. Used for 1-2 seasons each without difficulty. No chipped or damaged teeth, no shifting problems with either. Im moving to 10 speed next season, but sticking with XT-level components. Of note, each cassette has mis-matched lockrings one has a CS 5700 lockring, the other has a CS 6600 lockring. 318 g each (unreliable scale). $15 each.

Two used Paul Components black, 28.6 (downtube clamping) chain keepers. One is in very good to excellent condition, the other is in good condition. Used for two seasons on a cross-country mountain bike with no dropped chains and on a cyclo-cross bike for two seasons, also with no dropped chains. Easy to install and remove, and very reliable. All bolts included. I never had to adjust the positioning of either after they were set up properly. Im going back to a two-ring set-up in the front on both bikes, and wont be needing them again; however, if I was to stick with a single-ring set-up, I would use them without hesitation, and would recommend them to a friend. 69 g each (per Paul Web site). $25 for the one in better condition; $20 for the one is worse condition.

One used black Thomson 25.4 X 110 5 degree Elite (four-bolt) stem. Very good to excellent condition. Used for several seasons on a cross-country mountain bike. Ive never had a slipped bar with this stem. One of the stiffest available. All hardware for set-up included. No cosmetic or structural defects or blemishes. I use Thomson stems on all of my bikes, and have always been happy with them. Im moving to a wider cross-country bar; therefore, will need a shorter stem, and will be buying another Thomson X4. 181 g (unreliable scale). $40.

One used Paul black 22.2 mm right-hand Thumbie shifter mount with Shimano shifter (compatible with 8 and 9-speed systems) in fair-to-good condition. Ive used Paul Thumbies for several years, and have been happy with them; however, Im moving to 10-speed components, and would like to try a different system. The shifter can be used with friction or SIS. The shifter has a cosmetic scratch; the Thumbie itself is in great shape. $20.

One used Shimano RD M772 Deore XT long cage (probably used with 11-34 cassette & 40/29 front chainrings) rear derailleur (for use with 9-speed shifters). Fair to good condition. The pulleys were changed to Tacx 1-2 years ago. Ive been happy with this derailleur. It has no structural problems, but does show some cosmetic wear. The pulleys are in very good condition. Im switching to 10-speed, but will continue using XT products. 227 g (unreliable scale). $20.
