[OBRA Officials] On behalf of DQ'd rider this weekend

The difference is that members of the public and venue owners and operators are bothered and we lose venues. Not so much of a problem in France reportedly. There are places in the world where it is ok to walk around naked and other places where women must be covered head to toe and are not allowed to drive cars or be in public unescorted. Many places picking your nose in public is ok. In Singapore it is illegal to use chewing gum for non-medicinal purposes. None of this means that these standards apply here or should apply here.

Still not advocating this on venues where there is a risk to racing but we honestly need to grow up some I think.

Yes people pee everywhere in Europe...I wouldn't eat any Leeks from
Hoogerhide Netherlands after seeing just how much pee was rolling off the
hillside at CX worlds...I think the fields were slightly flooded after that
weekend.

However here in the US...the "average American" is not as open minded about
such things as exposed genitalia and peeing.

Wishing for Americans to "grow up" about peeing in public is pretty much
the same as peeing into the wind and hoping you don't get your shoes
wet....just not going to happen.

So...that being said...in the mean time how about it just doesn't happen at
the venues everyone loves and enjoys...why risk it?

What has me humored with this all these discussions is how all the outraged people would deal with what I've seen over the last several weeks in France. I have seen people relieving themselves by the roadside often. This includes men, women, and children. Seems the US is touchy feely in all sorts of things. Still not advocating this on venues where there is a risk to racing but we honestly need to grow up some I think.

I'll second that.

Now can we drop the sanctimonious discussion of pressing sex offender charges for someone's ignorant, and clearly non-sexual, actions?
