Alpenrose Velodrome apron replacement

This repair is costing $60,000. We have 5000 members. If riders could
contribute just a little each, we would pay for the project quickly. Any
amount helps.

OBRA members.

Even if you live 300 miles away from the Alpenrose Dairy / Velodrome, never
have or will use the Velodrome or race Cross on the property, I urge you to
support this repair fund. Alpenrose helps keep your OBRA membership cost
low by providing storage for a vast amount of equipment as well as a venue
to race. They do not need to do this at all, but understand how important
OBRA is to the entire state of Oregon. This is pretty special in this age
of Corporate buy-outs and little to no local involvement. Please consider a
donation.

Except for little tastes of riding on the apron in Cross races, I have never
raced the velodrome. Now if it was a dirt velodrome, who knows.

Second the motion! I made my 2015 pledge to the Velodrome Repair Fund
early_ like last week. Maybe some other "installment plan" pledgers could do
the same.

to be around for a long long time.

The replacement for the crumbling apron at the Alpenrose Velodrome is
proceeding as scheduled. Most of the old apron is torn out. There should be
a brand new surface that will see its first use when it is muddied up by
cross riders at the first Crusade. We are only about 10% of the way to our
goal collecting money to pay the Alpenrose Dairy back for the amount they
will be spending on this project. Alpenrose has been very generous in
supporting OBRA operations and Oregon bike racing in general. Now is the
time to pay them back. Any amount helps. You can donate at:
