Ryan Mauk

Sunday on my way to the Crusade race, I managed to get a nail in my brand new rear tubular. Stuck on the side of the road, with only a spare front wheel on hand, I was not the happiest of campers. However, I was reminded of how fantastic our community of riders is in Portland. I had no less than eight people offer to help as they rode by and one fellow (I believe his name was Jim) had a bottle of Stan's, which he offered to me free of charge (and even helped me put in!). An hour later, I was racing on that same tire, in fully working order. I just wanted to say thank you to all who stopped and if anyone knows this Jim fellow, have him contact me. I owe that guy a beer.
