Help inspire young Colombian cyclists - Clothing & equipment donations needed this week!

Later this week John Grochau & I will be travelling to Medellin Colombia and will deliver donated cycling clothing, equipment and tools to youth clubs there for the Dreams to Wheels organization. This is a unique opportunity for OBRA to directly help disadvantaged young people in a place where cycling has a rich and reemerging history and means so much more than sport.

Do you have any new or old team uniforms you don���t really need? Any road or mtb shoes that don���t fit? Any extra allen wrenches or spare pedals, etc? If so, we���d love to bring them with us and help kids to experience the joy we all find from riding.

River City Outlet has kindly agreed to help us collect anything you might have. So now thru this Wednesday evening (1/14) please drop off any donations and help Portland inspire the next generation of Colombian cycling.

Meaningful donations: Clothing, including new or used items, are great. Smaller sizes (XS-M usually) are ideal. Clothing should be clean, in usable condition (zippers etc) with no rips etc. Shoes are good too (sizes under 10 are best), as are parts that can be installed on any bike. Bar tape, inner tubes, cages, stems etc. It's best if things are current, normal standards.
