CLINICS:
Introduction to Racing Clinics:
Never tried bicycle racing and always wanted to see what it was all about?
Want to learn about the basics and more? Come join us for a FREE quick and
concise clinic at 5:30 p.m. before the start of the novice race on the 2nd
Monday of each month: May 11, June 8, July 13 and August 10.

Clinics are organized using expert coaches and instructors from local clubs
and teams. We will cover group-riding basics, assist with number pinning,
and walk you through a typical race. If time permits, we will teach tricks
for saving energy, riding smoothly, and safely maneuvering in the group.
Coaches will be available after the novice race to answer questions. There
are no clinics in the April series.

This year we are excited to offer a new feature to encourage novice racers
to come out to PIR. On May 4th and July 13th Oregon Bicycle Racing
Association (OBRA) will waive the one-day membership fee for racers rolling
up to the start line for the first time. (The standard $15 entry fee still
applies.)

Let's Race Bikes—1st Monday Clinics:
Let’s Race Bikes is an initiative of like-minded women racers in Oregon who
want to ride and race bikes with you! They’re a group of teams from all
around Oregon with women riders who would like to see more ladies out on
the road! Excited? Want to learn more? No problem! Come out to the Monday
Night Race Series at PIR the 1st Monday of each month (May 4, June 1, July
6 and August 3) for a special Let's Race Bikes night.

A FREE Introduction to racing clinic starts at 5:30 p.m., and you’ll learn
the basic steps of getting out onto the racetrack! Experienced racers,
coaches, and others will be there to answer questions. There are no clinics
in the April series.

New this year: OBRA is enticing ladies new to the track to try a race by
waiving the one-day membership fee of $5 on May 4th and July 13th. (The
standard entry fee of $15 still applies.) This is a great opportunity to
meet the Let's Race Bikes community. Learn more and get involved here:
