Our student Mountain Bike Team, The Lacamas Freedom Riders, has been participating in the Oregon XC Junior Series and will be at the final race of that series with the Sisters Stampede on Sunday
Our Team is the first ever Independent club riding under the NICA (National Interscholastic Cycling Association) program.
For the four years prior the team was part of the Washington Student Cycling League, and this year we gained "Indie Club" status so they could race OBRA events and to share our experiences being involved with Student(6th-12th grade) specific leagues!
If in Sisters for the Stampede, Please come visit the Camas Bike and Sport Team Tent at the Sisters Stampede if you would like to talk in detail w/ students/parent/coaches about our journey....and any possibilities of a future student league in Oregon?
