So what I'm hearing is:

3:15 start time = beer number???

I know. When the 50+ raced with the beginners that was the case. Pristine course. Time to find the good lines available. Warm up on the actual course and even have a nice p. pott “after” the race. And I hated missing NASCAR!
But so many of the old people just could not deal with the early start that we got moved to late morning (still miss Nassy!). Now it is sleep in, brunch and then get to course to snag a super fine parking slot from someone who left early to get home for NASCAR. Then we had to race with the Juniors! Now that was special. Some of us thought they were OK to race with, while others were convinced the combo was a crime. Hey! Maybe the 50+ / 60+ crowd should race Last? Without the Master Bs. It is just so lame having to overtake the slow dudes. So many races. So many people in my way. Is this the first sicko heckling of the season?
I also think the 60+ should get PAID for getting their butts out there and racing. Give up some of that bootie “A”s!

Actually, the Beginners have it best.
1) they get to pre-ride because the course is open right before they start racing so they are warm-up and recon at the same time killing two birds with one stone. Who need rollers?
2) the course is typically in the best shape it will be in all day.
3) they can sit back and enjoy the rest of their day watching, drinking and eating, or heck, be home before noon and catch the NASCAR race.
4) the porta-potties are still clean, empty, with no lines!

I should have stayed a Beginner!

When the schedule had the A race at the end of the day, it was the case that everyone packed up, consumed the rest of the beer, and ate the last of the wursts while we were racing. So, it's not a case of disrespecting the ss/B racers, it's just what happens during the final race of the day. But yes, it did kind of suck.

Personally, I think this is great news and I hope all the races return to the old schedule (A's and Elites last). You should have your showcase events at the end of the day, not somewhere in the middle. Moving the A race earlier in the day has, I think, been a huge negative for three groups: the women, B's and SS racers. Spectators pull up stakes and leave once the big name men are done racing, which is a shame when the women are out there racing their butts off while people are packing up their tents. And the B and Singlespeed fields have often been racing to an empty grandstand, so to speak, since they were bumped to the end of the day.

Very happy about this change.

I hope the other races will take note.

I support the change after racing SS for two years and watching the entire
field of spectators packing and leaving while I race. Not to mention it
allows a better time slot for women's SS.

No no, stick with last year’s schedule. Why the constant changing?
No offense Mr. Witty.

Old Skool 'cross!

I think the new (old) schedule is exciting news! It'll make for a fantastic race day atmosphere.

The old school schedule harkens back to the heyday of this year's Grand Prix series namesake, Rhonda Mazza, too! How cool is that?

You should have your showcase events at the end of the day, not somewhere in the middle. Moving the A race earlier in the day has, I think, been a huge negative for three groups: the women, B's and SS racers. Spectators pull up stakes and leave once the big name men are done racing, which is a shame when the women are out there racing their butts off while people are packing up their tents. And the B and Singlespeed fields have often been racing to an empty grandstand, so to speak, since they were bumped to the end of the day.
Very happy about this change.

I hope the other races will take note.

Will Cross Crusade and other promoters stay with the same schedule as last year (ie A race at 1 and B/SS at 3:15), or will the schedule change be for all races?

Personally, I think this is great news and I hope all the races return to
the old schedule (A's and Elites last). You should have your showcase
events at the end of the day, not somewhere in the middle. Moving the A
race earlier in the day has, I think, been a huge negative for three
groups: the women, B's and SS racers. Spectators pull up stakes and leave
once the big name men are done racing, which is a shame when the women are
out there racing their butts off while people are packing up their tents.
And the B and Singlespeed fields have often been racing to an empty
grandstand, so to speak, since they were bumped to the end of the day.

Very happy about this change.

I hope the other races will take note.
