With four races finished and two to go cross season is starting to get into the swing of things. The weather is cooler, the moon is doing funny things and it appears that people are getting faster. Register for tomorrow's race now and save yourself one beer's (or a couple of tacos) worth of cash: http://www.portlandtrophycup.com/register/september-29-registration

Those of you racing the single speed category may do well to check the rules before the series is done. There's a tidbit in there that may help some of you to land on the podium for the series.

The standings are posted and money will be waiting at registration for those of you who podiumed in the Stages Cycling Women's and Men's A races as well as the holeshot winners in the As and Singlespeeds. Here's the top three in each category for you:

Please make sure that if you have forgotten a number and have a second one now please stop by registration and let us know which one you're planning on using.

Lots of upgrades this week (you know who you are), please stop by and get a new number for your new category.

Taco Pedaler will be out again serving up those great taco sand Gigantic will once again be pouring $4 pints. Please do not bring outside alcohol into PIR. Some folks were seen with beer cans and that's not allowed in the park. Buy your booze from Gigantic and it'll be cool. We could unfortunately lose the race if it happens again.

If you pre-registered and have your number you can head straight to the start line. If you still need to pick up your number we'll have it for you at the race. Remember that online pre-registration is open until 2pm on race day and you'll save $4 for doing it. $18 pre-reg, $22 at the race.

The Portland Bicycle Studio clinics will be running for all six races and will help get you ready for your race. If you haven't had a chance to make it to one, there are still three left for you.

Portland Bicycle Studio is providing neutral race support as well. Stop by and say hi and get any help that you might need before your race.

Stages is a series sponsor for the Women's and Men's A races and is throwing down all of the prize money. They'll be out at the races with demo units for anybody that is interested in giving them a shot.
