Through these past four years, I've had a seat (near the rear) on Jim's
medical roller coaster. His story is amazing, and it would be inspiring
for anyone who'd buy him a beer and hear it first hand.

Thank you for supporting the OHSU Cancer Center, which helps great folks
like Jim fight the good fight. I'm so very happy for Jim and his
wonderful family, and honored to call him my friend. This is a very good
cause.

The event info and sponsorship

form can be found here:

If anyone is looking for a rider to sponsor...I'm available :) Let me know,

and I'll add you to my form.

See you out there!

There is a one lap "race" at 5:30pm Wednesday as a cancer fundraiser for the OHSU cancer center (dear to my heart) prior to the regular CX races at Alpenrose. Unfortunately I cannot make it which is doubly disappointing. I'm a cancer survivor (thus far) and have been receiving treatment at OHSU. Four years ago I was diagnosed with stage IV cancer and almost two years ago told it was terminal, yet at this time there is no sign of disease and I have been able to resume racing (!!), though slowly as I'm still recovering from treatment.

Think of it as a nice warm up and course preview. I'm sponsoring one rider - the tall Mr. Voldengen.
