The inaugural Cross on the Mountain is mere hours away! The course is riding smooth and fast and flows really well. A smile was seen from many faces today running practice laps and judging from the many positive comments we are set for an exciting day of racing. Please remember we are following the Crusade Schedule. Please consult the race flyer or website to confirm your start time. It is not the same schedule as the GP series. We have a full day of racing and fun for the whole family, starting with free 10 Speed Coffee all day at the Crooked Tree Start Line food and beer tent. They will be selling waffles in the morning and have a great event menu planned with outstanding burgers, salads and other tasty food. Leah's Lunch Cart will also be on hand all day down by the lawn selling delicious fresh food and the Parkdale Elementary School PTO and some of the kids will be on hand to sell baked treats which helps fund many important programs for our local school. They will be wondering t
hroughout the grounds with a baked goods wagon. The Crooked Tree Tavern will also be open for full bar service so be sure to check out the selection of beer and spirits. The Lumberyard will host the Kiddie Cross race at 12:20 on the main lawn down near the finish lines. All kids under 10 are invited to participate in this encouraging, fun, mini-cross course promoting future racers an opportunity to "race" just like the big kids. Prizes for all participants! The big kids will have plenty of opportunities for prizes as well as each category winner will go home with something nice but everyone has an opportunity to also go home a winner with the day-long raffle with a long list of amazing prizes and swag too many to mention here. Check with registration to see if you are a winner after your race. Who knows, even the lantern rouge may have something special for their efforts. Parking is mainly roadside in the wide gravel shoulders so try to keep off the pavement with your rig and equipm
ent. The fall colors and weather look amazing and we hope to see you there.
