I live in North Tabor nearby Laurelhurst Park (Portland) and in the last month I have had my new Yakima gear basket and Thule T2 hitch rack stolen off of my car as it was parked in front of my house (near a street light, too!). The gear basket was not locked but the hitch rack was locked to the hitch. The dirty rotten thieves either have a Thule master key or used a bolt cutters. If you value your rack I would consider taking it off at night, and get the lock for your gear basket. I don't see this problem getting better anytime soon.Cheers!
