OBRA:

Some reminders for racing at PIR. I am speaking mostly to the Monday Night
perspective however same notes work for Tuesday PIR too. Thanks for reading
all of this important email!

ONLINE REGISTRATION:
Please be sure to stop by registration to make sure we have you on the list
and your OBRA Bib# is correct. You can swing right to the side of the table
to just check-in.

FINISH:
Please be aware when you finish that there could be other fields finishing
or contesting hot spots right behind you. It is important you keep aware of
that and exit the track at the West or East exits as soon as it is clear.
It always helps to give a look back to make sure you are not chopping some
others.

ALCOHOL:
As PIR is part of the Portland Parks, there are no open containers allowed
on the grounds of PIR. The only alcohol that would be able to be purchased
is if their approved vendor, Ovations is serving which we don't offer at
any time on Monday or Tuesday Nights. Please respect this and enjoy,
celebrate and have a beer off-site!

ARRIVING:
We get access to the road track at 5:00PM on Monday and Tuesday. It will be
obvious if it is being used by cars or motos. Please do not ride on track
prior to 5:00PM unless you have checked with organizers or PIR staff that
it is clear - very important. Ride the direction of nightly racing clock or
counter clock wise.

DEPARTING:
The organizers are responsible for locking up for the night. If you need
extra time or need to run/do other training, please move your car outside
of the PIR gates. If you have a car problem or have any other issues come
chat with officials or organizer if you car is inside the gates/grass area.

We start locking up everything 15mins after finish of the last race of the
night - Please be advised!

SECURITY:
Usually PIR is pretty safe on Monday and Tuesday Nights. However, we have
had some issues in the past. We suggest you lock up car. If you need to,
you can leave us your keys, etc by registration area. Also, if you see
people or cars coming into the track that obviously are not with the bike
races, please let us know. It's pretty obvious you are not bike racing if
you are walking around the grass area and not racing on the track!

MISC (From PIR Staff):
Portland International Raceway Rules and Regulations: In accordance with
FAA regulations, PIR does not permit the use of Unmanned Aircraft Systems
for any type of commercial photography or videography at any time at the
facility. Pets are allowed at PIR. Please consider event noise before
bringing pets that may be sensitive to loud sounds. Dogs must be on a leash
at all times. Owners take full responsibility for their pets. Alcohol may
only be purchased on site from the PIR-contracted food and service vendor,
Ovations. Outside alcohol is prohibited from all PIR property. All Portland
city parks (including PIR), recreation areas, and natural areas are smoke
free.
