Just a friendly reminder there are only 9 days left to register for the 2016 edition of the Baker City Cycling Classic. This year we’ll have five stages over three days celebrating our 15th year. *There is no same day registration, so don’t wait.*

Here’s another update that’s not yet in the Tech Guide, the Stage 2 Uphill TT start list will be randomly selected for start times, and not based on Stage 1 finishing times, and that list will be released after registration closes. We will also have it on hand at registration on Thursday afternoon and evening or Friday morning before the start of Stage 1. It will also be posted on our website.

Also to clarify the age group scoring, Masters groups will be racing in a combined field based on category. The GC winner will be awarded to the rider with the best combined times from within the main field and the age group will be based on the best combined time within the 40+, 50+, 60+ etc. Money will be awarded to the GC winners 1st through 3rd and the age group winners will be recognized with prizes from Vegter Design Works, Portland Design Works and others.

Hope you are all feeling prepared and ready to climb both short and long climbs this year. As of now the weather looks like it will be in the 80’s, but it’s Baker City so plan for any kind of weather.
