I disagree Mr. Witty, it is all about narrowing the competition until I can be certain of a win. If OBRA could only have a Masters Mens 47-48/Cat 5-Sport/ 155-165lbs/ Single Speed with less than 63 gear inches I would be almost guaranteed a victory!

The current set up for XC is a cat 2 50 - 59 and a 60+. The 45+ is cat 1.
That would not fit into your needs? I agree there is a big difference
between the younger / older ends of the cats, but to do it like nats would
create tons of cats for promoters. In short track, I am in the 55+ cat 2
and at 67 do not have any expectations of placing well. Keeps the fun
factor in perspective. Overall dirt is good. "Usually" a softer landing
than concrete or pavement if you go down.
