After taking our traditional mid-series break, we are back for another four weeks of Short Track fun!
Here are a couple updates ahead of tomorrow's race # 5, which promises to be another one you don't want to miss out on:
1) This Monday, we're going casual!
That's right, it's time for our annual "Summer Casual" Race Outfit Contest, brought to you by Portland Design Works! Leave the spandex at home and come race in your best Summer Casual race outfit. To get an idea of what we're talking about and get some inspiration for Monday, check out the photos of last year and the year before. The most hilarious outfits (male & female) in each race heat (*) will win a very cool PDW "goodie package" and a Short Track hat. So, get your creative juices flowing!
To make the summer party complete, Nossa Familia Coffee will come out to serve free iced coffees and our food station will be serving our ever-popular free Dave's Killer Bread PB&J sandwiches.
2) Sign up tomorrow for the rest of the series and save big!
If you just now discovered how much fun Short Track is (or just late to the game and decided to jump in on the action), we are offering a killer deal for the second half of the series. Tomorrow, at the race, we will sell "rest-of-series passes" for just $60 for adult racers (or $30 for junior racers)!

PS: we are still looking for two extra volunteers, one to help out with set-up (from 3 to 5pm) and another one to help with lap counting from 7 to 8pm and clean up afterwards. Either position will earn you a free race entry each week for yourself or a friend. As usual, we will fill these spots on a first-come first-serve basis.
