Things look to be set for a great day of racing out at Alderbrook Park for race #3 in the GPCD series. The course is looking great and will certainly test you. Here's a few last minute details :
-Registration: Opens at 8. OBRA license is required so please bring it with you or be prepared to purchase one. Pre-reg closes at 5 today so get a move on and save $5.
http://obra.org/events/26279/register
Day of race fee $35 adult, $18 junior and $10 additional race race

-Beer and Food will be available at the park for purchase. Please no outside alcohol

-Parking is provided in the large lot(we paid your fee). Please use the main circle just for drop off and do not park there. Do not drive on any of the other roads or trails of the park.

-Tents- feel free to set up in the main bowl area. We expect the bounce house to be operating as well the petting zoo.

-A couple of rules: NO DOGS, respect the private property at the park, and try not to ride your bike through the gravel entryway. The park still has several large events scheduled after ours and our ability to return it to them in great condition is paramount for us being able to bring this race back again next season.

-Bring your A-game, race hard, stay safe and have a great time. Further info can be found at Zaaldercross.com and http://cyclocross.gp

Zaaldercross Eve is upon us and this year we could be looking at turning a great course into an epic race if the forecast comes through. Either way we have a great day in store for you. This course is killer fun without rain but add a little mud and the fun goes to 11. The family will be set to enjoy the day rain or shine if you bring them along, lots of fun activities for the kiddos, great food, plenty of covered areas for spectating if need be. So a few last minute details:
- Bring your OBRA license for registration

-There will be a $5 parking fee this year so do bring a little cash(sorry)

-Team tents can be placed anywhere along the course in the main grass bowl. The park is booked on friday for an event so preriding will not be possible .

-No Dogs allowed per park rules

-Porta potties will be onsite and there are bathrooms located near registration, near the petting zoo, and near the pool

-Alderbrook will be serving breakfast burritos in the am and grilled goodies, snacks, and sandwiches as the day goes on---really good food and of course a great beer garden

-Prizes: good news bad news. Cash for the elite winners, medals for juniors, and most other categories will be receiving a custom Z5 growler from Klean Kanteen. Unfortunately, they did not get them to us in time but if you win we promise to hunt you down and get that growler to you. Other prizes include sweet Z5 caps, t-shirts, Horst toe spikes and beer from the Commons brewery.

-Call ups per GPBR seeding but don't forget you can score the much coveted Alpenrose call up spot by doing well here

-The Zalderaffle is even bigger this year. Tickets can be purchased when you prereg or on site race day. You do not have to be present to win. This all to benefit p:ear but you can come away with some pretty sweet swag. Check it out at: http://www.zaaldercross.com/zaalderaffle/

-We encourage you to preregister to help keep the lines to a minimum and see dup your day at: http://obra.org/events/24516/register
