I started racing at the same age he did, and I'm still at it! I'm 47!

Wow Sal !
This shows how much we take for granted. Just like your rule (below) about “expecting” prizes. Just replace prizes with “committed, caring promoters”.
I know Road racing was a huge part of what you provided to racers and that aspect will be a tough act to follow.
Not racing Road, I have to thank your for my Cross experiences.
I would put several of your Cross races in my top 10 epic slugfests. Your events were not just fun, they were designed to provide quality bike handling educational experiences for those brave enough to ride on the edge. Excellent experiences!
I expect you have been building both common sense knowledge about promoting and course design into the person(s) who will take over. I also bet the new promoter(s) will have absorbed your passion for giving.
Nothing stays the same! Now what I hope is that not only do the locals support races in the southern W. valley, but we still get to see your smiling face out on the courses.
You are a key part in forming my (and I am sure others) love / passion for Cyclocross and Road racing. Your positive impact goes much deeper than the number of posts that might appear here on chat.
Thank you.

On behalf of everyone in the organization and all of racers, thank you
for everything that you have done.

Your races were some of the earliest events I did as a bike racer.
Watching a friend race Celebration was one of the reasons I got into
bike racing. From Icebreaker, to the weekly series, to Celebration-
and everything in between- thank you for all that you have done for
us. We wouldn't be here without you.

Thanks again Sal!
