A few folks have been working with Mike Murray to establish the race Calendar for the 50th Anniversary Season of the Historic Alpenrose Velodrome. We reached out to the promoters. They are stepping up to put on another great season of racing. For the most part the events and promoters remain the same as last year. The scheduling conflict comes in that USAC Master Track Nationals is listed as ‘Tentative’ at this time. Once that is resolved ALPENROSE should be able to finalize its calendar. As stewards of track racing at the Historic Alpenrose Velodrome it is our collective responsibility to pitch in. In that effort we are planning on having regular meetings where we as a ridership can establish vision and goals for our Velodrome. With that we can establish some roles that give riders opportunities to volunteer and support the sport that they love.We will be meeting at the Lucky Lab on Monday 1/9/2017 from 7:00 – 8:30PM. Anyone interested in stepping up to help and chart a course for the velodrome is strongly encouraged to attend the meeting. I’ll be posting a Meeting agenda and previous conference call minutes to the Facebook group and the OBRA track ListServ. It takes team work to make the dream work. We need input from everyone to execute on another great season at the Alpenrose Velodrome.
