Hello OBRA members:

I have been elected as a member of the WSBA Board of Director to represent
the USA Cycling members residing in Oregon. Similar to our OBRA Board, the
team works to support racing in the North West region. Below are some of
the benefits which member received last year from Board initiatives.
Several top Oregon's juniors were selected to participated in the programs
below including Gabrielle Lehnert and Keelan Ontiveros.

As a member of both OBRA and USA Cycling for more than 15+ years, my goal
is to voice the needs and concerns of the Oregon USA cycling members. I
hope to also provide fresh ideas and help promote more cooperation between
the two organizations as both organization's meet new challenges such as
membership erosion.

*Examples of the benefits WSBA provides the WA, OR and ID cycling
communities under USA Cycling through their WSBA and USA Cycling *
*memberships**:*

*· Created a financial subsidy program that supported 6 new
events--4 Road, 1 CX and 1 MTB--in our region*

*· Sent 6 youth from WA & OR to talent camps for Road and CX*

*· Supported a beginner women’s clinic which more than 75 women
attended*

*· Supported a beginner race program that had an average of 25
participants per session (5 sessions total)*

*· Fully supported the annual Larry Kemp summer camp for 10-14 year
