If you are familiar with "The Rules" you will know the correct number of bikes to own is n+1. Unless you are married, this holds true. I am married and the formula has changed to d-1. I am currently flirting with disaster. In my attempt to skirt the boundaries of this equation, I bought a frame, not a complete bike. Thus not fully falling within the d-1 trap. BUT, before I can build this bike, some have to go so I can sleep at night.

I have a 57cm Klein quantum that has low miles, and near perfect paint and drivetrain. I've owned it for 3 years and maybe put 1k miles on it. I haven't ridden it in almost a year. Previous owner put less than 500 on it. A mix of Ultegra and 105 are on it with hand built wheels on ultegra hubs, sapim spokes, and velocity hoops. The bike is really fun to ride, and transfers power incredibly well. I just don't see myself racing crits like I had hoped. My heart is in the mountains and this bike just needs a new home. I paid a lot more than I'm probably going to get, but let's talk. I am open to mountain bike and cx parts as trade too. I am also going to throw in a set of continental road tires that are still in the box. The tires currently on the bike, continental Grand prix front and clement strada rear are still in good shape with probably 800-1000 good miles left on them. I also put new cables and housing/ bar tape on the bike this winter and haven't ridden it.
Hoping for $900 and can email/text pictures.

The next bike is one I've had since 2013. It's a Large Trek FX 7.4 commuter bike. It's got full blackburn fenders, ergon grips, lights, great tires, and 3x8 shimano something drive train. I rode this bike to work for 3 years every day (5.5 miles round trip) before I moved to Portland. I still ride it to work, but have a neat old specialized mtb I would prefer to commute on now. Retail for this bike, without lights, fenders, grips, was $600. I've taken really good care of it and added parts to make it ridable in all weather conditions. Still a lot of life left in this bike for commuting. Drivetrain, brakes, and tires are still in really good condition. Wheels spin free and true. Also willing to trade for mountain bike and cx parts.
Hoping for $200 and can email/text pictures.

Thanks for reading all this nonsense. Cheers.
