Survey! Finish times or no?

There's this thing called Strava Labs and one could checkout the flyby feature. It's pretty cool.

Now I do agree that seeing times as a part of the results does tell little bit better story. It would be nice but no need to say results and the way we get them suck.

I agree it is just pulling the times off the finish Lynx and linking them with the proper riders. We do that with ccx but would need to reinvent our road race excel sheet to import the .lif file.
Anyone have the time and ability?

At the very least, the time of day the rider crossed the finish line would
be better than nothing. I could at least get an idea of splits.

You are correct that some if that data is there, but how to grab it is the problem. Overall times when the start is separate from the finish and time gaps on staggered starts. Then we have many new officials that this added responsibility would hamper the time it takes to produce these results. I invite anyone to spend time at the finish and help obtain and convert the data.

I don't know about you but I love looking at results (even if I wasn't there) and looking at finishing times as they give you a better picture of what was happening. Break won? Split in field? What? Road-Result.com via USAC and WSBA are great about it however OBRA suuuucks. Our results have NO context. None.

Answer this one question (if results should have them or not) on this survey so we can tell the officials and promoters to give us that data. They have it, so let's tell them to share it!
