What's the coolest thing you ever won? (was Prize list vs. entry fee)

I won a DT Swiss wheelset in a writing contest. I wrote a story inspired by
my friends embrace of mountain biking as part of his therapy for HIV and
addiction. Someone emailed me after and told me the story helped them
understand their family member's recent HIV diagnosis. That was the best
thing I ever won.

Back when I might get on a poduim, I always liked winning bike parts. It
was random like a tire or a stem and maybe I couldn't use the part but I
could always sell it. Shops usually have random stuff they are willing
to donate. I also still have a string of ribbons from the '80s most of
which were given to me by Phil Sanders. He filled out the tag on the
back with the event, date and yes, even the finishing time. Another
favorite was a lithograph from Larch Mt TT made by R.B. Bushman. Sadly
it was destroyed in a remodeling accident.
I also won a steak dinner and $30 at a Cooper Spur MTB race.
