Good support people! So important to respect people like Matthew ( promoters in general) who is taking time out of his day / life to make races happen for you road racers. Yes the sponsors need the support from you as well. Just think about how fast the day goes by, how much you want to get done for yourself....then imagine putting on those races at PIR. If you were the man, it might change your present schedule. Keep those narrow tires rippin’ round PIR folks. I do not know much about other places around the usa, but I cannot imagine there are any better closed courses available from spring through summer. Now if someone wants to come on and explain how fantastic it is in Alabama, Colorado or New Jersey, that is just fine “for them”.....but we are here and PIR is great for you guys and gals.....support it by racing yer bikes and buying local. Bend, Eugene and S. OR support their series with less population. Two days of PIR is quite good here. Yes?

All.
Let's pivot from this point and move forward.
I was raw. I hadn't slept in the many nights prior to Monday PIR. I didn't sleep the night after because I was SO excited about how opening night went. I was hurting for a friend that was hurting himself. I am very exposed on a deep level (emotionally and financially) trying be creative with PIR. My heart is always on my sleeve. I'm from NY (tattoo on my chest to prove it) and my context as a hockey player is to fight back and fight back dirty...(last 2 were a shot at humor btw)
With all that said. Because PIR means so much to me and I truly believe there is awesome stuff here, I dug in and fought back when I felt the situation at hand boiled over. I could have done better and made a smarter choice yesterday (Tuesday). But it's obvious I didn't make that happen. I'll own that. I apologize and I hope for forgiveness from you all. Thanks everyone.
Warm regards,
Matt Barney
Monday PIR
