If you���ve got limited time for exercise, this schedule-friendly fitness solution will deliver results without dominating your day. So what exactly is HIIT? Great question! Each session includes short bursts of exercise followed by brief���sometimes active���recovery periods. Steady state cardio like jogging or moderate biking has its place, but HIIT is designed for go-getters who truly want to enhance all areas of fitness with the least amount of time.

HIIT can work for running, cycling, squatting, and a gazillion (rough estimate, of course) other exercises. For example, sprint for 20 seconds, jog/walk for 10 seconds, and repeat for 10 rounds. Perform pushups for 30 seconds, jumping jacks for 10 seconds, and repeat for 6 rounds. Endless variety and juicy results:
