Dear OBRA,
It is with a heavy heart that the Vancouver Criterium has been canceled for
2017. The condition of the roads, which were already suspect, have
significantly worsened over the course of the winter. We requested early
in the year that the roads be repaired, but the city is unable to commit to
addressing the issues before the 2017 event.
We hope that this is a one-year hiatus with a return to racing in 2018 on a
different course or a newly paved course.
