June NewsletterIf you are not off racing or doing training ride........maybe drop by and see what is taking shape. It will be a hot day, but even just a ride through on some trail that is built might be a diversion. This will be a fun family friendly place when done and a good place to do some training.

Gathering at Gateway Green -Featuring the Dirt Lab-
Presented by

Join us for the Gathering at Gateway Green - featuring the Dirt Lab - a celebration of the first completed phase of the park on June 24, 2017, 11am-4pm. The event will highlight the new off-road cycling trails and skills course.
It will be a fun day filled with food, music, nature crafts, games, exhibitions, and more! Find more details about the specific events happening throughout the day below:

Access & How To Get There:

Entrance to the park is ONLY located via the I-205 Multiuse Path through the Gateway Transit Center. Arriving by bike and public transit is the prefered method of arrival. The park is located in between I-84 and I-205 freeways, and approximately ¼ mile north from the Gateway Transit Center. There is a long sloping grade along the I-205 Multiuse Path into the park.

By bike: Take the I-205 Multiuse trail north, past the Gateway Transit Center. Some bike parking will be available. There will be parking for road bikes at the north (25 spots) and south (25 spots) entrance gates for those wishing to commute to the park, but not ride the dirt trails. There will also be some bike parking at the Main Gate (50 spots).

By public transit: Take the MAX or Bus to Gateway Transit Center. Walk North (turn right when entering path) along I-205 Multiuse path. Follow signs to event.

By car: There will be parking available in the Oregon Clinic parking lot, Gateway Transit Center parking structure and overflow lot, as well as some on street parking all available on a first come, first served basis. Please DO NOT park north of Gateway Green in the Maywood Park neighborhood or in local business’ parking lots around the Gateway Transit Center.

Handicap Accessibility:

At full build-out, many features at Gateway Green will be accessible to nearly everyone, including the restroom. However, the park is only partially completed at this time -- and those with physical impairments may find the terrain very difficult to navigate. While there will be at least one portable toilet that ls ADA accessible, most of the paths and the main gathering area are covered with loose gravel. It is important to note the I-205 Multiuse path grade from the Gateway Transit Center to the park is not up to ADA standards.

The Street Dogos: Serving Sonora style hot dogs and tortas from 11-4pm
