Hello everyone!

I posted this a couple of days ago but am posting again because I've just reduced my price on Craigslist from $2000 to $1850 which means a price of $1700 for OBRA members.

I'm unexpectedly needing to sell this beautiful brand new, 2017 Soma steel frame Fog Cutter that I just recently finished building as my dream bike. This bike has less than 200 miles on it and is absolutely flawless. For those of you who may not be familiar with this awesome bike, the Fog Cutter is a very spirited endurance road/road sport design and is one of the most recent additions to Soma's steel frameset lineup. It's designed to fit fatter tires, but the frame angles are more road bike than CX bike but is not the least bit afraid to go off road. It can float you over chewed up asphalt better than most bikes in this category, plus it's very light for a steel frame, (approx. 4.4 lbs.) and surprisingly fast off the line.. This is the bike you want for long days in the saddle, the most demanding commutes, or to get off of the pavement..
Frameset specs are as follows:
- Tange Prestige double butted CrMo steel front triangle; butted CrMo on rear triangle; heat treated throughout.
- Road sport geometry
- Rear rack & fender mounts
- International disc mounts (rear mount is located on the chainstay for stiffer performance and also keeps the caliper out of the way of rear racks)
- Matching straight blade carbon fork w/ aluminum steerer
- Fits 700x38c tires with fenders - 1-1/8" size headtube
- 27.2mm post size
- Frame size: 54cm
Paint: Rosso Red (A beautiful deep
full bodied red, but not "Ferrari" loud)
Custom build features include:
- Full Ultegra 6800 drive train including front & rear derailleurs, crankset, cassette, chain and brifters.
- Forte" Pro carbon handlebars wrapped with Lizard Skin bar tape
- FSA KFORCE Carbon seatpost
- Fizik Aliante saddle w carbon support
- Chris King Headset
- TRP HYRD Semi Hydraulic disc brakes
- Stan's NOTUBES GRAIL ZTR "Team" Level Tubeless wheelset
- Panaracer 28mm Gravel King tires currently mounted
- Additional set of new Clement XPLOR USH 35mm gravel tires will be included free
* Frame has been "Frame Saver" treated straight out of the box for maximum rust protection
* Six coats of Mother's Brazilian Carnuba Car Wax were applied to frame prior to build to protect paint. (Note the mirror glaze finish in the pics.)

Was asking $2000 on Craigslist but have reduced the price to $1850 for quick sale but would really love this to go to an OBRA member because I know it will be well cared for, so will sell to an OBRA member now for $1700 firm.

NOTE: As you can see from the component list above, I spared no expense when building this bike. There's been over $2600 total invested to bring this bike to the specs that it currently features, so my loss will be your gain. I DO NOT want to sell it, but for personal reasons, I must. This is without a doubt, the most comfortable and enjoyable bike I've ever owned and it was a labor of love to build. If you appreciate the idea of a custom built, steel, "do everything" road bike that will definitely stand out from the aluminum and carbon designs that all look the same, this may for you. With all the love that's gone into designing and building it, I just want it to go to a good home. Please call, text or e-mail to make an appointment to see this bike. I can come to you if necessary if you think you may be serious. Call or text Ken: 503-330-4327 or email keninlow@yahoo.com.
Thank you all for looking!
