Cascade Locks. Oh Yeah!

Sometime one feels old, out of sorts or indifferent when waiting in the start chutes of a Cross Race. Today I was feeling the first for sure. But by the time I had entered my 2nd lap, I was having some fun (except for that run up!!!) amongst the sufferin’. Life and the Crusade Crew can be full of surprises. For those who might not feel fond of the C. Locks course, this old man says come on! It had something for everyone. I even got crushed by some “road strong” riders who went by me like I had my brakes on (which one should NEVER use in cross...right?).
This was the best course in C. Locks yet. A well balanced diet of cross surfaces on which we got to learn. Now next weekend at Heron Lakes....the roadies and single speeders can bring the big gears (except Weaver....maybe a 32x20 set up for his baby legs). Just kidding. I am a BeWeaver.
What a great group of old guys I get to race with...and those 4 masters are pretty polite as well.
Thanks all.
