You're Invited: 6th Annual Bowen Sports Performance CXmas Party

Dillon Caldwell

2017-10-19

The USA Cycling Cyclocross National Championships are headed back to the West this year. On January 9th-14th, 2018, Reno, Nevada will host the event, drawing more racers from Oregon than any year since the event was held right here in Bend back in 2010. Here at Bowen Sports Performance, we're hoping that means more junior racers taking advantage of the CXmas fund to fund their travels than ever before.

Please join us on the evening of December 7th to support this great cause by bidding on fabulous donations from around town, donating to these junior racers in person, and, as always, enjoying great food and drinks with friends.

Date: Thursday, December 7 (6 PM - 9 PM)

The CXmas fund was created as a nonprofit foundation back in 2012 for the express purpose of sending Oregon's aspiring junior racers to the Cyclocross National Championships each year. Since that time, we've seen past recipients win the U-23 National Championships (Lance Haidet), race professionally on the global CX circuit (Lance Haidet, Cameron Beard), and help turn their junior development team into one of the top programs of its kind in the nation (Bend Endurance Academy). Though BEA is a co-host and has traditionally been the largest contingent of racers tapping into the CXmas fund, the fund is in no way limited to this program. We've sent numerous Oregon racers from outside of the Bend area to the National Championships over the years and are constantly looking to expand that reality. If you or someone you know is an Oregon-based junior CX racer looking to attend CX Nationals, you might be eligible for funding from the CXmas Foundation. Please get in touch.
