Bend cyclist looking for roommate, Dec. 1

I know Craigslist may be a more conventional place to find a roommate but I would prefer to live with a fellow bike racer, if only for the shared values, camaraderie, and splitting some race coverage packages. I'm the sole lessee of a 2-bedroom, 1,200-square foot apartment on Bend's west side. I'm two miles from Phil's Trail Complex and minutes away from some popular group rides. Three minute ride to downtown Bend. I've furnished the living room with chairs and couches, centering them around the wood-burning fireplace, which is great to come home to after a ride. Large kitchen and dining area. There are two parking spots.

A bit about myself: I'm 34 and I race for Murder of Crows. A longtime cyclist, I'm in my first year of racing (cat 4). I've been having a blast with road, crits and lately cyclocross, and travel for races each weekend. During the week I'm a staffer at the local newspaper, where I write about the outdoors. I have an indoors cat who's friendly.

There is plenty of room for bikes. I'm installing bike hooks on the walls so the bikes can be stored efficiently. There is an outdoor patio area ideal for a bike stand.

Rent for the room is $600 + $50 utilities. $250 deposit. Agreement would be month-to-month. Email me for photos or to set up a viewing time this coming week. Also find me at CrossWords CX Challenge or Cross Crusades Heron Lakes this weekend.

Thanks,

Peter
