Consider this your hand typed not-entirely-personal mass-OBRA-Chat invitation to Portland���s most inclusive group cycling event that departs every Sunday morning from Ovation Coffee.

In all seriousness, I want to encourage anyone not racing or heading out to support The Cross Crusades to come out. The Shootout is about more than just high intensity training. The first part of the ride is very conversational and it is a great time and place for you to do your part representing your Team, meeting unattached riders, growing community in PDX cycling, and encouraging prospective racers to pin an OBRA number on in 2018.

Please help me spread the word about The Shootout! I am confident that there are a lot of cyclists I have not reached that would really enjoy the ride.

We roll neutral out of NW Industrial and along HWY 30. Even if you do not want to do laps on the Island, joining for the start and rollout is a great way to start your own ride into the West Hills.

Everyone is welcome on The Shootout regardless of equipment, but if you can, please run fenders when rain is forecasted. We'll stick with 9AM departure this week as the vote for a proposed Nov-Feb departure time change remains neck and neck. Come Early, Drink Coffee, Make New Friends. Then We Play BIKES!
