Ron is so right! Come and join us down here and in Jacksonville in December.
And there are races in Washington thru mid December for Nationals practice. The one on Dec 3 is as far south as Lakewood, near Tacoma.

Thinking it is time to get into the same mindset as the squirrels and bears and bulk up for the cold winter ahead. “Heck. I am not going to nationals in Reno.” On the other hand, Reno is pretty close to home and nothing like starting at the back and passing people! Oh well.
Well, there is still time to overfeed your face and or get ready for nats. One great way to do so is to hop on I-5 to the Coburg exit and race Psychocross on Sat. 25th and or Sun. 26th. You have heard tales of what cyclocross was like back in the day.............Well the promoter is not retro, but this is as good as it gets for racing hard, learning on some challenging surfaces and supporting a great series that honestly deserves some love, especially from those of us who live up North. Work off some mashed potatoes and gravy or that second portion of Tofurkey. Get someone or just go down and support them to get in another fun day before winter really sets in or to keep some sort of fitness before heading to Reno. We ALL are OBRA!
My plan is to race Saturday at least.

Of course the obsessed then can go support Krampus further South on Dec. 10.....move on to Reno to train at altitude before nats..........or just hang, overeat and gamble.

I second that - Psycho is a great little event and you owe it to yourself
to race that course. I'll be there one if not both days.
