Matt that sucks!
Make sure to register the bike with BikeIndex.org and report it stolen
there as welll. provide as many pictures and as much info as possible. PPB
and many other police agencies use bikeindex as their reference for stolen
bikes.

I'll keep an eye out as well as notify my bike shop brothers and sisters to
do the same!

So the cable lock was cut on my Kuat hitch rack while i was in a store briefly in Jantzen Beach. I thought I was playing it safe as I parked the car in a space visible from inside the store and looked out at it/checked on it a few times in the short time I was in the store (Sierra Trading Post). Its seems they grabbed it as I was in the check out line, and it seems there may have been a few fools involved in the operation but obviously thats an answer we may never have.. I am typically always obsessive cautious and aware of this possibility in this town, but know that it can happen really quickly and may involve multiple people who catch one slipping..
- 2017 Ibis carbon HD3 with Boost 27.5 wheel size.- Pike Fork- 1x12 Sram GX Eagle gearing- Fox rear shock- Raceface Atlas 800mm bar and stem.- shimano XT brakes.- Reverb dropper post.- white Fizik saddle- XT Trail pedals. - Raceface Aeffect 27.5 wheels with Boost.
I filed a claim with the police department and as many of you are aware, he says many stolen bikes end up down around the Steele and Burnside Bridge areas..So if you come across it, after punching the possessor of the bike in the forehead, please contact Portland Police.
Thanks in advance for any assistance or insight.
