sunday cross course? no go!

Like Ron said, there isn’t much sense in trying to do anything fun if it requires effort ... So why bother?

In the Spirit of giving at this joyous time of year, the 12/16 AlleyCross charity fundraiser “non-event” that was never gonna be fun or worthwhile is now unofficially cancelled.

Too many people appear too stressed or prefer to complain or take life too seriously to have fun or put in effort, unless it’s a race. So the 12/16 “non-race” that was never gonna be at all about racing is now unofficially cancelled.

Adjacent to Peninsula crossing trail. Probably would be about 3/4 mi. long...pretty flat but some fun twists / turns around trees and over barriers. Need to tape and cone...maybe some racing will take place. If we do this...don’t pee at random! I live in this neighborhood and do not want that behavior for my neighbors. There are multiple places with facilities and I can arrange for you to use my place. Lawn was just mowed so looks pretty good right now. We need to be courteous to others using the area.

Reply off list if you want to help and I will let list know if it is happening either later this evening or tomorrow. families would be welcome as would promoters who worked so hard they did not get to ride their bikes during race season. shoot out people can stop by if it happens. I would like to have the course set up by 9-10 AM.

Thanks Craig. Only got one volunteer to step up so not going to set up course. Dot said it was too last minute for people’s plans. Great weather for a day out so hope people have fun on the bike if possible. If people do show up they can just pretend a course is set up. yeah right.

Not going to do it if not enough help. I am old and do not do the heavy lifting I once took on.
