I did not ride, but helped with set-up / tear-down of Sellwood Cycle Repair Practice race for Nats. at the site of Corn Cross.
I have to say that those that took part got a very tough exercise in working toward your best. Nobody is going to lay down and give you a win! You have to work for it....and doing that work outside is good for you.
Great to see and chat with folks going to Nats and those just getting another adventure on the bike in before the last of winter.
Oh God! No pavement on the course!
I am cowbelling the Oregon / SW Washington crew on to great results in Reno and as the title of message states a huge “Thank you” to Erik Tonkin for providing a chance for riders to RIDE HARD in friendly competition to keep an edge for Nationals. Erik. You could have stayed home and watched TV....but you do care a great deal about what makes cyclocross so special. If you do not work....you do not get results.
Sooooooo. Next year every one work harder! Even if you get passed by faster riders, you be doing all you can with what you got.
