OT Taken for granted

Just lost an acquaintance I only knew through our interaction when we crossed paths at his place of work. Man in his mid-fifties got sick enough to go to hospital with flu – then pnumonia - sepis. Gone. He was such a nice man. Probably had not been on bicycle in 30+ years. I am old and have gone through losses before, but this makes we want to remind people to cherish people and animals in your presence. They deserve acknowledgement more than a flat screen even they are behaving badly. When life ends, that person or pet is gone. Help them have a trusting positive time here. Be in their place. You would want affirmation for just being you. Even if you see yourself as a hard-ass tough dude or lady. You want people to see that is who you are. Maybe we all are a little insecure and need some love.
Be nice as you can be. Show some love to those around you.
