Time for another season of mountain biking starting this week Saturday at
Echo for the Echo Red to Red. The Series without the support of Rivercity
Bicycles, Pactimo and all of you!
For 2018 we have an awesome season with some unique breaks to get your best
4 of 7 in the overall series in 26 Series Categories! All 26 will receive a
Custom Champion Jersey located on the Series site at
http://oregonxcseries.org

Coast Hills Classic 4/15, Bear Springs 4/29
May 12th Chainbreaker, May 19th Spring Thaw and Sisters Stampede May 27th!
Good spacing overall and YES you may get wet or cold early and NO Summer XC
races do to lack of younger riders without families....just a fact we need
to get younger!
For 2018 we are spicing up the Team Comp. Max 5 members, best 3 counts for
points

So far these teams have responded and the purpose is to have points by
Wednesday evening each week for a team captain to verify.

Now remember if you have a Team or group larger than 5 create two teams and
let us know who is on each team. This could be Oregon Trail Syndicate and
Oregon Trail Syndicate Dominators!
This is never easy to track so we would like it to be done by the end of
the month for the 2018 season for the Team Comp only for the XC Series and
also the OBRA Junior Series!

Lastly for now all Series Champs and OBRA Junior Series champs get into the
OBRA State Champs for 6.00. That covers the BLM fee per Rider! This event
is 7/28 and more details coming in April as the course is posted for
maximum fun! So when registration opens for this event and if you are a
contender don't sign up for State XC until after Sisters Stampede! I will
send u the special codes.
Final Thought and I will shut up and go clear trails, support your local
trail group, give 8 hrs of your time or $'s trails don't magically happen!
The Government does not build trails, they facilitate great groups like
NWTA, COTA, Team Dirt, DOD, Goats, ATCA, RVMBA, STA and more!
New NICA league is also forming and we are working to promote this Fall
league through the OBRA Junior MTB series! Thanks Heather for all the hard
work!
Thanks for listening and see you soon. I'm putting on a trail run this
Saturday so I don't get to Race Echo and super bummed about that...but I
hope to see you at the slinger for year 31 and a chance to hand out some
Don Leet Podium glassware!
