Gorge Gravel Grinder Registration

Dear NW Racers,

We have been bombarded with emails and Facebook messages about registering
for this year's Gorge Gravel Grinder. The answer is yes you can still
register just not online. At some point we need to take the list down and
prepare it and all the registration information for race day. That said
you still have two options to get into Oregon's own Hell of the North!
Option #1, which is truly the best option, is to come to packet pickup at
Mountain View Cycles in Hood River Saturday night between 5-7 PM. We can
get you all setup and ready to ride Sunday.

Option #2 for those of you who are super hardcore and are watching the
weather to make sure it is truly awful enough to make the event a true Hell
of the North style suffer fest (which it won't be) you can still register
on Sunday morning between 7-9 AM. Now understand the ride leaves at 9 AM
so if you show up at say between 8:50 to 9:00 AM you are going to be
leaving after the main field heads out.

To everyone emailing about the weather the answer is yes it will be windy.
It is the Gorge. The Gorge is the worlds largest wind tunnel. No it will
not be blowing hurricane forces. Currently we are looking at (according to
NOAA) winds at 20 mph, very little precipitation during the day if any and
temps starting at 50 and going up to 55. Breakaways will suffer.

All this said we at team Breakaway are here to provide all of you the best
support possible from aid stations, signage, mechanical support and post
race lunch and refuel. So come out enjoy the challenge and head back to
work on Monday with some cool stories from the gravel roads of Eastern
Oregon!

Sincerely,
Chad Sperry
