July 21 is a new cycling event - the Salmon Cycling Classic - Grand & Medio Fondo. Check out the web site - www.salmoncyclingclassic.com. Great location right on the southern edge of the Portland Metropolitan area in Wilsonville. Fantastic genuine 'cedar plank' salmon dinner with terrific fresh strawberry shortcake for dessert! First 100 that sign up are in for a drawing for six OTTO BICYCLE LOCKS being given away. The first 250 riders will get a special inaugural crushed glass (recycled glass!) medallion - made by a program working with single mothers! The course, going over and around Pete's Mountain and Parrett Mountain gives riders over 5000 feet elevation gain, spectacular views of Mt. Hood & the Chehalem and Tualatin Valleys. It goes by gorgeous country estates, vineyards, open pastures and uses small country lanes and roads. Wonderful! Early registration until June 1 for lower fee.
