We are just 3 days away from the 9th edition of the Six Hours of Mount Hood and all the ingredients are there to make it another epic day you don't want to miss out on!
Here are a couple updates, ahead of Sunday's fun-loaded day on the mountain:

1) Still time to pre-register, get a cool custom pint glass & finisher tag, and make a chance to win in our pre-reg raffle!
Online registrations keep pouring in and right now our preliminary start list shows 225 racers who have signed up across all 11 race categories (including our 3 new Solo Master age groups). There is still time (until Friday at Noon) to register online (at https://6hoursofmthood.com/register), get your name added to the start list (scroll down to see the full list category), and save time and money on Sunday! And if you hurry and are among the next 25 racers to sign up, you will receive a cool custom pint glass and classy finisher tag!
To sweeten the pot, we will raffle off a svelte Showers Pass IMBA jacket (Men or Women's) among all racers who have registered by end-of-day today!

2) Important notes about on-site registration, race plate pick-up, and racer briefing!
- On Saturday, we extended the time for race plate pick-up and on-site registration with an extra hour, so you can pick up your plate at the ski school office (on the main Skibowl parking lot) from 3pm to 6pm. If you register on Saturday at Skibowl, the race entry fee will include a $5 convenience/late fee.
- On Sunday, we will open registration and race plate pickup at 7:00am and close at 9:00am. The day-of-race convenience/late fee will be $10, so if you have already made up your mind to race (and you totally should!), don't wait until Sunday to register!
- From 7:30am on, we will serve free Bob's Red Mill hot oats and coffee in the cafeteria (inside the main lodge).
- At 9:30am we will host a pre-race racer briefing, which all racers must attend! Then, at 10:00 am sharp, all races will get underway, staggered with short breaks between categories.

3) Race Support:
- Throughout the race we'll have a fully stocked food station, featuring a variety of energy drinks, fresh fruit, and Dave Killer's Bread PB&J sandwiches (plus Nutella and speculoos cookie butter for any of you who are on a Euro race diet!).
- We will also have a dedicated aid station for solo riders, where they can stash coolers and any other gear they like to have handy along the course.
- As always, the expert mechanics from Sellwood Cycle Repair will be on hand near the start/finish area, providing free mechanical support before and during the race.
5) Post-Race Chili, $1 HUB Beers, Awards & Raffle!
- After the race, while our officials are tallying the final results, racers will get to enjoy a free bowl of chili and $1 beers (for any racers of drinking age), courtesy of our beer sponsor Hopworks Urban Brewery (don't forget to bring $1 bills!).
- At 5:30pm, we will get the podiums underway. Like last year, the top-3 podium finishers in each category will go home with some very classy custom medals and in good tradition we'll wrap up the day with a short-and-sweet raffle, featuring a bunch of cool prizes, courtesy of our sponsors Sellwood Cycle Repair, Nossa Familia Coffee, and Showers Pass, who kicked in a bunch of cool items from their all-new summer line of mountain bike apparel!
